TKH Security announces new software releases for Video Management, Security Management and Parking Management

New releases announced of VDG Sense, iProtect and Flinq in the month of July 2021

TKH Security is demonstrating its innovative power and showcasing its development potential by releasing new versions of video management software VDG Sense, security management software iProtect and parking management software Flinq.

Release 2.6.8 for VDG Sense Video Management System

Release 2.6.8 for VDG Sense Video Management System

TKH Security has recently updated the VDG Sense software. The new release, version 2.6.8, offers some exciting new features and further improvements of existing functionalities.

With the release of VDG Sense 2.6.8 some architectural changes are made. This means there is no backward compatibility with previous versions of VDG Sense. Clients and servers with a software version prior to 2.6.8 are not able to connect to a server running 2.6.8 software version.

This release offers you some exciting new features:

  • Change user passwords within the application
  • Faster authentication via API
  • Camera Edge Recording
  • Privacy Mask for TKH Security Solutions driver
  • Selectable Stream for video content analytics
  • Stream Settings in the devices tab
  • Triple Streaming Support

Change user passwords within the application
The ‘User Management’ and ‘Device Groups’ tabs have been modified. It is now possible to change user passwords within the application and not via the web.

Faster authentication via API
This affects IOS, Android, VDG Sense Webpage, and third-party integrations.

Camera Edge Recording
In addition to our already existing Edge Server solution we have now added the option to synchronize video data from an SD card in a camera or encoder with the VDG Sense server video database after a network connection failure has been restored. The edge recording is compliant with ONVIF Profile G standard.

Privacy Mask for TKH Security Solutions driver
The Privacy Mask setting allows the user to configure a Privacy Mask in the video stream of the camera. Please note that because this privacy mask is set in the camera, the mask will be visible in live mode as well as in the recordings. The tab ‘Privacy Mask’ will become visible if VDG Sense supports remote privacy mask configuration for the selected camera.

Selectable stream for video content analytics (VCA)
In case multiple streams from a camera are available, it is now possible to select a stream for recording and separately select a stream for VDG Sense server-based video content analytics. In many situations, VCA does not require the highest possible resolution to work reliably. This reduces the required calculation power from the server’s processor (s) thus enabling the option to use more simultaneous server-based VCA channels.

Stream settings in the devices tab
For the TKH Security Solution and the Hikvision camera driver, it is now possible to change the video settings for all supported streams.

  • Resolution – All supported resolutions for that specific camera will be available in the selection list
  • Bandwidth – Set the bandwidth for the selected camera stream
  • Frame rate – All supported frame rates for that specific camera will be available in the selection list

Triple streaming support
For selected TKH Security Solution and Hikvision cameras, triple streaming is now supported. This means VDG Sense can use a third stream for either recording, live viewing, or VCA.

Release 10.01 for iProtect Security Management System

TKH Security has updated the iProtect software. The new release, version 10.01, offers some exciting new features and further improvements of existing functionalities.

This release offers you some exciting new features, for example:

  • Access by facial recognition
  • Changed licensing mechanisms
  • Many improvements and new features for Simons Voss Virtual Card Network

Mobile Access
iProtect 10.01 is ready to offer you soon a very interesting alternative for access control cards and tags. Employees and visitors may gain access by using their mobile devices. Although this is a wireless solution, it is very secure while personal data is protected by using a token authority. This fully follows the GDPR guidelines. Managing this new way of granting access, can be completely done in iProtect 10.01 and the application is suitable for both Android and iPhone phones.

Please keep an eye on our website and LinkedIn company page for more information during the scheduled release.

Access by facial recognition
Facial recognition can be an additional verification step when granting access. Within iProtect version 10.01, TKH Security introduces two new possibilities: Herta Security and 20face. The complete management takes place in iProtect. Depending on your requirements, you can choose which solution suits you best.

Herta Security is the market leader in the field of facial recognition. The system is self-learning and extremely reliable by bringing facial recognition to the highest attainable level as quickly as possible.

20face is a Dutch company that creates facial recognition solutions by using a cloud application. This system offers a contactless solution for office buildings with GDPR proof facial recognition.

Changed licensing mechanisms
From iProtect version 10.01 onwards, the licensing mechanisms have changed. The iProtect licensing has been brought in line with the VDG Sense licensing scheme. It will always be necessary to create a new license for an iProtect 10.01 system. It is not possible to transfer a license for iProtect 10.00, or earlier to 10.01.
