Nedap hardware has achieved top-level EN60839 certification
Nedap Security Management has announced that several key hardware components of their access control solution have achieved EN60839 certification. Hardware devices as readers and controllers can be the weak links in an access control system. Nedap Security Management always aims for the highest levels of security and therefore decided to invest in certification of several key components to provide proof that the Nedap AEOS platform is one the most trusted access control platforms in the industry today.
IEC 60839 specifies the minimum functionality, performance requirements and test methods for electronic access control systems and components used for physical access (entry and exit) in and around buildings and protected areas. This standard applies to electronic access control systems and components intended to be used in security applications for the granting of access and includes requirements for logging, identification and control of information.
