We have a new and exciting job opportunity for a Security Shift Manager to join us. The post holder Reports to the Site Security Manager, and this may, on occasion, include acting as Deputy. The post holder is responsible for the delivery of an excellent security service which fulfils our contractual obligations. In achieving this, Security Shift Managers will work closely with the Site Security Manager, the client and all supporting departments.

The post holder will support service delivery in a professional impartial and courteous manner. This is to be achieved within the scope of the contract and in line with our policies and procedures. Key requirements: SIA Door Supervisor license SIA CCTV license Emergency First Aid at Work certificate Excellent written and verbal communication Commercial awareness Attention to detail Team player People management & ability to positively influence. Flexibility & Adaptability Main responsibilities: The post holder will ensure that daily operations are carried out in accordance with our Policies & Procedures, Site SOP’s, Assignment Instructions and applicable British Standards/current legislation. Site specific documentation/reports: The post holder will ensure the following are completed/maintained as required: Effective shift handover to be completed electronically.

Detailed incident reports to be compiled and submitted within 2 hours of the incident occurring. Officer (written) acknowledgement of assignment instructions and SOP’s. Effective scheduling & planning to ensure full compliance with the manning schedule for this assignment. Absence management, to include RTW/Self Cert documentation.

Training records and ongoing scenario based testing of security team response. Effective management and recording of all security equipment (Radios, Bodycams etc. ). Effective and accurate management of key movements.

Electronic DOB completed accurately. All other control room based registers maintained in a neat and tidy manner. General duties & responsibilities: The post holder will ensure: All team members are briefed as to their incident response duties at the start of each shift. That all patrol activity is carried out using Smart Task, and in accordance with the Assignments Instructions/SOP’s.

Be Proficient in the use of Pedro, Sateon etc. Monitor and respond to all building related alarm systems within the ROH and RBS. Lead, manage and motivate. This will include periodic performance reviews.

Performance management in line with our Policy & Procedure. This will include attending and conducting investigations. Monitor staff presentation through routine inspections, and immediately address shortfalls. Respond to all incidents or security issues and to liaise with the site security manager and/or client to ensure that they are resolved.

Assist with the resolution of pay related matters. Advise the Site Security Manager immediately of any incident or issue that may affect service delivery. Team briefings. Liaison with the Emergency Services, and other officials.

Make a positive personal impact at all times, be seen at the forefront of good practice Perform or assist with all reasonable Client requests. Be an exemplar for Team Working – shift team, site leadership team Perform or assist with all reasonable Client  requests. Additional responsibilities: Linking in with Local Authorities. Creating a Hub for Police / Fire / Ambulance services – developing strong relationships.

Linking with Covent Garden Network / Business Watch. Drills / SOP Drills / Scenario Testing.
