A Security Cleared Project Manager with experience in the Government sector is required for a 6 month contract in central London. Due to the nature of the organisation, you must hold current and valid Security Clearance in order to undergo a further "Enhanced Security Clearance" level. You must also have resided in the UK for a minimum of 3 years in order to provide the footprint required to do this. Please note this clearance process can take 3 to 4 months from the date of successful offer.

Overview The Project Manager will manage the project on a day-to-day basis and will be responsible for driving and overseeing the delivery of the project to ensure the objectives are clearly defined and achieved within the agreed time, cost and quality constraints. Responsibilities will include: Create Create and lead the project to deliver the agreed outcomes within time, cost and quality constraints Day-to-day management and leadership of the project and any project team members Set project controls Design the project structure appropriate to the stage Select and apply appropriate delivery methodologies Develop and draft the Business Case Build the project plan and apply appropriate project principles to deliver stated objectives Identify and set appropriate project controls. Track and report delivery against milestones Track delivery of the project within budget Ensure an appropriate benefits realisation strategy is in place Identify key stakeholders and develop effective relationships Identify project risks and issues. Manage mitigating actions and escalate as appropriate Provide key reports and support effective governance and decision making Support or set appropriate project assurance Ensure effective change management processes are in place to agree and document changes to deliverables as agreed with stakeholders Essential Skills/Knowledge: Good understanding of project or programme management methodologies, tools and techniques including: requirements management, planning, scheduling, resource management, budgeting and cost management, risk and issue management, quality management, governance, frameworks and methodologies, stakeholder engagement, assurance, change control and benefits management.

Understanding of other project or programme management methodologies, tools and techniques including: commercial and procurement, solutions development, business change and implementation, business case development, asset allocation and knowledge management. Familiarity with external applicable quality standards. Understanding of the need to maintain a practical and pragmatic approach to standards compliance. Industry-recognised Programme and Project Management (PPM) qualification: PRINCE2 Practitioner Agile Project Management Practitioner APM Project Management Qualification APM Practitioner Qualification.
