Genea launches solution to safeguard the workplace during and beyond the COVID-19 pandemic

Genea has released information about a new solution to safeguard the workplace. Michael Wong, CEO of Genea, explains: “Now with a few COVID-19 vaccines in the market, 2021 will slowly become the year of the hybrid workplace. How to help people feel safe coming into the office once again is top of mind for many businesses. Social distancing protocols, evolving guidelines on the number of people who can gather indoors, and remote working have rewritten the script on safeguarding the workplace and the people who work there. But just as Genea’s Access Control solution revolutionized employee credentialing and visitor management, so too have we reimagined returning to work with a new feature: Safe Workplace.”

Layered on tops of Genea’s Access Control platform, Safe Workplace allows users to leverage Genea’s cloud-based technology to track, manage and enforce capacity limits for any space, including contact tracing, compliance and alerting. Genea has streamlined the process and created a robust, all-in-one platform that integrates directly with their access control platform, based on three comprehensive steps:

  • Step 1: Reserve Your Spot
Request access & check in from our mobile or web app
  • Step 2: Health Questionnaire
Employee or guest fills out health screen.
  • Step 3: Approved or Denied
Once completed, they receive access to specified entry points.

Safe Workspace optimizes all related process steps – in an environment driven by COVID protocols – by automating access to a workplace through fully customizable qualifications. Administrators, for example, can set capacity limits by reducing workspace capacity from 100 people to 20 people with a single key stroke. Employees can reserve a space in the office, answering a series of health questions to determine their confirmation or denial of access, before they ever leave home.

Visitors to a workspace can also be pre-registered online, asked the same set of health screening questions, and provided temporary access via a QR code – ensuring touchless visitor management start to finish.
